R2B was designed to be used on a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) because of the mobility and ease of use in collecting data. A PDA is small and can be stored in a small bag or even your pocket but more importantly it is able to collect and store data easily and the information can be uploaded through a computer at any time. Fields such as name, address, health issues, health concerns, Medicaid user, number of children, and distance to nearest hospital are some of the important information that can be collected. R2B allows for collection of data, anywhere, with the PDA. Images and other types of media can also be stored with the collected information. The collected data can be viewed later on a website that R2B will host.

In the United States, there are many hospitals and clinics available but there is a lack of free or low-cost healthcare
institutions. Many families are dependent to healthcare institutions that accept Medicaid, a program which provides
health insurance to individuals and families with low incomes. Along with the lack of these institutions, there is
also a lack of organizations establishing low-cost clinics in high demand areas. The census collects information
every ten years but reports only generalized information for large areas, i.e., counties and zip codes. Low-income areas are in need of low-cost and non-profit healthcare institutions in their area, and it is important to help the community as some of us may be not be as fortunate as others.
